Former Roma manager Fabio Capello shared his opinion on Roma’s busy summer transfer window.

The Italian technician spoke about Roma’s most recent signing of Enzo Le Fee and discussed the challenges that await Daniele De Rossi in his first preseason as a coach.

“Roma is one of the teams on which it is more complicated to express judgments or make predictions at the moment,” Capello told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Daniele De Rossi has already lost eight players who were in the squad last year: from Lukaku to Spinazzola, through Llorente, Renato Sanches, Azmoun… In short, the Giallorossi will certainly change a lot in the summer, although the economic situation places limits on investment capacity, as indeed happens for the majority of Italian clubs.”

“The difficulty for the coach will be not being able to work immediately with the squad he will have when things get serious. For example, Abraham seems destined to leave, but who will be Roma’s center forward? To date there are no certainties.”

“In midfield, however, Enzo Le Fée has arrived, on whom significant money has been spent and from whom it is therefore reasonable to expect a lot, while Aouar will go to Saudi Arabia and will not be missed.”

“Roma need additions in defense, but I think there is a desire to add quality in attack too. Soulé, if he doesn’t go to the Premier League, could be the right name for a team that wants to play creatively.”
