Fazio and Santon likely to remain until contraction expiration in June

Federico Fazio

Despite earlier rumors linking Federico Fazio and Davide Santon with a premature exit from the Italian capital, the two players – who have been excluded from the first team since Jose Mourinho took over in July 2021 – are now likely to remain in the Italian capital for another six months.

Il Tempo reports that Roma are having trouble finding suitable destinations for both defenders.

No concrete offers have arrived at Roma’s doorstep and any attempts to discuss contract termination with the players’ respective entourages have been fruitless.

As a result, the Giallorossi will have to reconcile with the possibility of having Fazio and Santon reach the expiration date of their contracts in June before moving from Trigoria for once and for all.
