Fazio closing in on move to Cagliari

Roma defender Federico Fazio is nearing a move to Sardinia and reuniting with former Giallorossi and current Cagliari manager Eusebio Di Francesco.

Sky Sport reports that the 33 year-old is close to leaving the Italian capital to join the Isolani on a permanent deal.

Fiorentina are also interested in the Argentine and haven’t given up in their pursuit in acquiring him from Roma, but Cagliari is close to completing the operation.

Fazio is set to leave Roma after four seasons when he joined the club from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2016. The defender has made 158 total appearances for the Giallorossi with 13 goals and 3 assists to his name.
