There is a war between Roma and defender Federico Fazio. The Argentinian international has communicated to the club that he does not intend on leaving anytime soon.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Fazio has refused a number of offers in this transfer window: from Serie A, Cagliari and Genoa made an approach; and from La Liga, with Deportivo Alavés and Cádiz CF inquiring about the 34-year-old.
Fazio has one year left on his contract and a salary that amounts to €2.2 million.
The player is reportedly looking to sue the club and force his way back into the first team unless he’s offered a buonuscita that matches his current wages. Only then will he choose a new destination that suits him as a free agent.
