Fazio: “It’ll be important to play well against Fiorentina before the break”.

Roma defender Federico Fazio spoke to Sky Sport today ahead of Friday’s match against Fiorentina. Here’s what the Argentine had to say:

In the last two months you have earned 19 points, only Lazio did better, with 17 goals scored and 6 conceded. With these numbers, is it fair to say that Roma is favored for fourth place?
It’s still long, there’s still three match-days left until the halfway point. The match in Firenze will be important to finish well before the winter break. The second part of the season is always difficult. It is important to win in Firenze and continue well.

You’ve obtained results even when players who do not normally start have played. Has this been the key? Having everyone have the right attitude and ready to play?
We have a lot of matches left to play — and in January we’ve got the Coppa Italia starting. We’re in three competitions and it is important that everyone is at the disposal of the manager and stay ready.

Fiorentina will be without Ribery and probably without Chiesa. Will La Viola be a little less dangerous without these two talented players?
We do not know if Chiesa will play or not, but playing in Firenze is always tough, it will be difficult. We want to grab the three points just before the break. We have to be ruthless and have the desire to win.
