Roma defender Federico Fazio spoke to Sky Sport today ahead of this weekend’s clash against Chievo in Veneto. These are his words:
Could it be the start of a change after the clash with Milan?
We had a good team performance, we have 16 match days left to play as we did against Milan – they are all finals. It will be difficult against Chievo.
Chievo came back from two goals in the first meeting.
Yes, that’s true. We have to play with the ball and be compact in defence because it will be a difficult match just like the others — but especially against the sides fighting to avoid relegation.
The Champions League is very important for us, we want to move forward to the quarter-finals, but we know it’s also important to be able to play in it next year so it’s crucial we finish in the top four.
Zaniolo is very strong. He’s just getting started, but he’s a quiet guy, who has a great career ahead of him.
Will Roma arrive in the top four?
This was our main objective since the start of the season, we have to get into the top four, we know how important it is to play in the Champions League.
