The new leader of the Roma’s defense, on the other hand, is Federico Fazio, who seems ready to take the opposite route of the others: he has reached the required number of appearances to trigger the obligations to buy from Tottenham and Roma have guaranteed him a contract until 2019, binding him to the Giallorossi for the next two years with wages that would tab him as an important player, around €3 million (net) including bonuses.
Fazio arrived in the summer for a small loan fee for €1.2 million and Roma will have to pay a further €3.2 million for the buying obligation, making him one of the least expensive defenders for Roma in recent years. Meanwhile, Spalletti continues to depend on the player and proved so yesterday by saying, “For, us it is now impossible to do without Fazio.”
