Federico Chiesa has reportedly opened to the idea of joining Roma this summer.
The Italian winger has only one more year left on his contract with Juventus and talks over a new deal seem more distant with each passing day.
Chiesa’s agent, Fali Ramadani, was recently in the Italian capital to meet with Roma and discuss their plans for next season.
The meeting also served to assess the feasibility of a deal involving Chiesa and review Juve’s demands for him.
According to La Repubblica, despite his expiring contract, Juventus are asking for €40 million for Chiesa.
The newspaper reports that during the meeting Ramadani conveyed his client’s interest in moving to the capital from Turin.
Now, Ramadani is expected to meet with newly appointed Juve coach Thiago Motta.
The two will discuss Motta’s plans for Chiesa and reiterate the player’s desire to go elsewhere in search of more minutes and a more prominent role in a club that is ready to give him the necessary confidence.
Only with Motta’s blessing will Roma be able to launch negotiations for Chiesa.
