After a magical debut on Wednesday in a crucial away win at Cagliari, Felix Afena-Gyan can now consider himself – at least for the time being – a first team option.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the 18-year-old is expected to work as part of Mourinho’s first at least until December.
The Special One already discussed this matter with Primavera head coach Alberto De Rossi as the youth team would be losing their top contributor: 6 goals in 5 appearances so far this season.
In January the club will make a decision for Felix’s future.
The youngster would not be able to feature in Conference League games, but Mourinho could give him some minutes against lower Serie A sides.
The possibility of a surprising first national team call-up is reportedly not to be excluded in the coming weeks.
