Roma attacker Felix Afena-Gyan made his senior debut with Ghana’s national team yesterday in the first leg of their World Cup qualifier against Nigeria, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
The 19 year-old featured from the start for the Black Star’s in attack alongside veteran Jordan Ayew and fellow youngster Abdul Fatawu Issahaku. He played a total of 80 minutes but was substituted off injured.
However, Felix assured everyone he was fine from the knock and also expressed his delight at making his debut.
Taking to Twitter he wrote, “Amazing crowd! Grateful for the show of love and support. I’m ok. We go again on Tuesday. Keep the faith.”
He’s expected to be fully available on Tuesday when the second leg between Ghana and Nigeria takes place.
