Ferrero: “Schick? He’s not a winger.”

Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero appeared on Radio Radio today and spoke about Patrik Schick. These are his words:

“We all know that Schick did not train a lot with us. Sometimes the urge and enthusiasm leads you to make little mistakes. They (Roma) threw him right into the melee, but the boy has to train. He is a striker: when Dzeko retires, he will become the jewel of Roma.”

“He is not a winger, he is a striker. If they want to play him with Dzeko, he can do so, but not as a winger. Roma, like at all the big clubs, have a world of their own of supporters who have their opinions. We bought Praet and have turned him into a mezzala, but you can’t do this at Roma. The league has changed, Roma can not lose the matches they have lost. They’re a great club but Napoli never gives up. For me, Napoli will win the Scudetto. Roma should roll up their sleeves and work.”
