Feyenoord manager Arne Slot reacted to his side’s 1-0 win over Roma in the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinals.

“Today we experienced the power of Roma. Especially in the last twenty minutes. We must keep in mind that next week they will be supported by 70,000 people in their stadium,” Slot told Feyenoord.NL.

“The atmosphere at de Kuip tonight was great. This is possible even without fireworks. The fans really helped us tonight.”

“We kept a clean sheet. It took some effort, especially at the end of the game. We had some chances too, but I think this result today is the best result we could have hoped for.”

“Next week will be tough with the players Roma have. They started with good players, but the ones that came in were just as good, we’ll see how next week goes.”
