Feyenoord manager Arne Slot announced right back and Dutch international Lutsharel Geertruida will be available to face Roma on Thursday for the first leg of their Europa League tie.

The 22 year-old returned to the fold after missing his team’s previous two games after recovering from a hamstring injury suffered during the international break.

“Lutsharel is back at our disposal. We probably could’ve called him up on Wednesday (in their cup match against Ajax), but we thought that was too soon,” Slot told the media before his team’s league fixture against RKC Waalwijk this weekend.

“He’s been able to train at a higher level recently. Thankfully he didn’t miss much time so now he’s ready to return on Sunday.”

Barring any setbacks, Geertruida will likely start on Thursday against the Giallorossi in Rotterdam.
