Feyenoord manager Arne Slot took a slight dig in what otherwise was a complimentary comment on José Mourinho’s winning track record ahead of the Conference League final.
Corriere dello Sport reports that Slot said recently, “Mourinho almost never loses in finals, this shows you his greatness.”
“But,” he added, “Surely he must have been happy to have coached nine out of ten times the better team.”
“I’m belittling him a bit because he also won a final with Porto, but he often had excellent players at his disposal.”
