Feyenoord manager Arne Slot sat down earlier today to preview Thursday night’s first leg of the Europa League playoffs with Feyenoord.
The two teams will meet for the third consecutive time in a European competition as the rivalry seems to grow in intensity each year.
During his press conference, however, Slot remarked that there is no ill feeling between his team and Roma.
“I don’t want to talk about revenge, but I want to win,” Slot told reporters.
“Mourinho? I would have liked to face him again. If you face him in your career it means you’re doing something well, but Roma have decided to take another path.”
“With the new coach Roma I don’t expect them to change too much in their starting eleven. I saw the match against Inter, I don’t think there will be many differences. De Rossi is a coach who demands the most out of his players.”
“Are Roma favorites? If you look at history, Roma are favorites but not by much. It’s a bigger challenge for us than for them,” he added.
