Feyenoord manager Arne Slot reacted to today’s draw which saw his side match-up with Roma for the first time since the two teams met in last year’s Conference League final.
“Roma are a great opponent and it will be a great battle, but I was hoping to meet others teams this time around,” Slot admitted in an interview with the Dutch side.
“I was hoping to meet another team that stands out to me – Manchester United stands out in terms of quality and perhaps also in terms of budget. But even Roma are obviously not an easy opponent. Since last season’s final, they have strengthened their squad with Paulo Dybala, Nemanja Matic, Georginio Wijnaldum and Andrea Belotti.”
