Feyenoord manager Arne Slot once again sounded disappointed over his side’s defeat in the Conference League final in Tirana with Roma earlier in May.
The Dutch coach spoke about the bitter loss in a recent interview with ESPN during Feyenoord’s mid-season training camp.
“I think it’s amazing that the players managed to recover after the lost Conference League final, I myself try to think about it as little as possible,” he said.
“It was good that we got to the final, but there is nothing more painful than losing a final. It’s a final, a the better team doesn’t always win. We saw it at the World Cup as well. Luck and bad luck can play a role.”
