Feyenoord defender David Hancko reflected on the defeat with Roma at the Stadio Olimpico on Thursday night.
Two days after Feyenoord’s elimination from the Europa League, Hancko discussed the loss in an interview with De Telegraaf.
“Everyone really pushed their physical abilities to the max,” said Hancko. “[Coach Arne] Slot doesn’t expect us to win against big teams but what he expects, and that’s what he keeps repeating, is that tactically, mentally and physically, we give everything.”
“In the whole season it has only happened twice that a team looked physically better than us. It was really the hardest game of my career, but I’m still proud of the whole team.”
