Feyenoord attacker Oussama Idrissi sounded optimistic ahead of the Europa League clash with Roma.
In an interview with UEFA, Idrissi confirmed his hopes in getting revenge for last year’s Conference League final defeat.
“I played against Roma two years ago [with Ajax in the 2020/21 Europa League quarter-finals, Roma won 3-2 on aggregate], but I understand how Feyenoord feel about the loss in the Conference League final from last year.”
“I didn’t share the fans’ reaction to the draw, but I understand. This time I hope we can get our revenge. The two legs won’t be easy, but we have a good team with a lot of quality. This season we have shown that we can win many games, playing well most of the time.”
“We have a good chance of going through. I don’t watch Italian football much, but I know a few names: their players and coach are all very impressive.”
