Roma director Guido Fienga spoke to Sky Sport before the start of the Giallorossi’s Europa League showdown in Germany against Sevilla. Here’s what the Roma CEO had to say:
Friedkin is arriving: is it a signal for Italian football?
An agreement was concluded overnight that will bring Friedkin to the club rather quickly. As Roma is a publicly traded company, I can only say what was in our official communication. I hope that Friedkin will lead to growth of the club as the shareholders and us have done.
Will the new investor be an extra motivation tonight?
No other motivation was needed, the team arrived motivated. It’s a competition we want to win.
Have you seen any positive signs from the team?
They are all very concentrated. Before each game, especially against such a difficult opponent, it is impossible to make predictions, but the lads are motivated.
