Fienga flies to London, Planes confirmed by Barcelona

RomaPress – Roma CEO Guido Fienga has flown to London today to meet with Ryan Friedkin, the son of Dan Friedkin, who officially acquired the club two days ago.

On the agenda there will be several items that the pair will discuss — including the transfer market and the new sporting director.

For the latter, the duo will review their potential options to replace Gianluca Petrachi, who left the club in June. The number one option remains Juve’s Fabio Paratici, who has an extremely close relationship with Fienga.

They would be willing to wait even until after the transfer market if it means they’re able to bring Paratici to the Italian capital. Roma was also considering Ramon Planes as an option, however, he was officially announced today as the new sporting director of Barcelona.

Meanwhile, the transfer market will also be an important point of discussion. Roma will first focus on selling the many redundant players currently in the team such as Juan Jesus, who is nearing a move to Cagliari, Diego Perotti, Alessandro Florenzi, Patrik Schick, Federico Fazio, and Cengiz Ünder.
