Fienga salutes Smalling & Zappacosta: “If the conditions are right, we would be honored to be able to count on them again”.

Roma CEO Guido Fienga publicly thanked defenders Chris Smalling and Davide Zappacosta for their efforts this season, as the pair returned to their parents clubs following the conclusion of the Serie A campaign.

The duo joined the Giallorossi last summer on one-year loan deals and will not be available to participate in Thursday’s Europa League showdown in Germany against Sevilla.

“We would like to thank Chris and Davide for the professionalism shown this season,” said Fienga to Roma’s official website.

“Both showed their dedication and commitment to the club’s project. They shared with us every moment, both the positive ones and the difficult ones, and immediately showed great attachment to the Giallorossi colors”.

“If the conditions are right, we would be honored to be able to count on them again”.
