FIFA could keep transfer window open as far as January following Coronavirus crisis

English outlet The Telegraph has reported that FIFA will talk to clubs about keeping the next transfer window open, possibly as far as January, to keep money flowing through football following the Coronavirus crisis.

The entire world of football has been halted due to the pandemic with both club owners and players having been negatively affected from a financial standpoint.

The report states that “there has been support from some chief executives to lengthen the next period of trading for players so money gets spent while football gets back on its feet”.

Leagues throughout Europe remain suspended and it remains to be seen how the remainder of the 2019/2020 campaign will be completed — assuming it will be completed at all.
