One of FIFA’s official Twitter accounts announced that Chelsea attacker, Pedro, will be joining Roma.
Whether it was a mistake or not, people have taken notice on social media that the official “FIFA World Cup” account wished the Spaniard good luck as he moves to AS Roma on a free transfer from the London side.
Despite the gaffe, everything is already set for the former Barcelona man to join the Giallorossi — even though the club hasn’t officially announced his transfer.
The attacker, who underwent surgery last week after suffering an injury to his shoulder in the FA Cup final, will arrive in Rome in the coming weeks to undergo his medical examination with the club and officially sign his contract.
👋 A fond farewell to @ChelseaFC from a #WorldCup winner
👏 Plenty of goodwill towards @_Pedro17_ as he begins the next chapter of a glittering career with @ASRomaEN https://t.co/lSHzwO15vQ
