FIGC President Gabriele Gravina criticized Roma’s recent protests against match officials in Italy.

In a recent press conference at AIA headquarters, Gravina spoke about the rapport between referees and teams and managers in Serie A.

“There are rules that apply to everyone. They must be respected, it’s not a pretty sight from whichever side you want to judge a continuous pressure on the fourth official even for a throw-in. It’s not nice to see Roma conduct themselves like that.”

“No one rules out the possibility that there was an error that could have damaged Roma, but the fact that every time this leads to episodes in which the possibility that the referee has an issue with Roma specifically is ludicrous, the same goes for what happens on the international stage, this type of behavior cannot be accepted. It’s a problem of education.”
