Roma midfielder Filippo Tripi was on the scoresheet this evening, scoring the first of the Giallorossi’s two goals in their win over Portimonense.

The 20 year-old found the back of the net midway thru the first half before Nicolo Zaniolo sealed the win in the 70th minute—marking the second preseason victory in a row for Jose Mourinho’s side.

“You can’t underestimate these friendlies and take them lightly from a quality or tenacity perspective,” he told Roma TV.

“So it’s important we keep giving everything we have in these games to ensure we’re not giving a bad impression of ourselves.”

He added, “The manager has made a big impact of the team, especially from the intensity and aggression point of view.”

“It’s difficult for the opponent when we walk on to the pitch with the level of intensity he asks of us.”
