Fiorentina also interested in Calafiori

Roma youngster Riccardo Calafiori remains one of the most sought-after prospects in Italy.

The 18 year-old left-back has a contract with Roma that runs until 2022, however, there seems to be little confidence that the parties will be able to come to an agreement on a contract extension. Calafiori has drawn the interest of several sides throughout Europe including giants PSG, Juventus, and Chelsea.

Alfredo Pedulla has reported today that another team has registered their interest in the youngster recently: Fiorentina. Unlike Juve, La Viola would like to bring Calafiori to the club to play in the first team and wouldn’t be interested in loaning him out elsewhere, which has been the plan of some of the other sides pursuing him.

Calafiori has yet to make a first team appearance for Roma and could be one of the players sacrificed by the club to help improve their difficult financial situation.
