Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Italiano previewed the upcoming league match-up at the Franchi stadium with Mourinho’s Roma.

“We had time to work throughout the week and we prepared well, we have to react and start all over again,” he said as Fiorentina are coming off a four-game losing streak.

“Roma is a strong team and being three points away from them, a team that will play a European final, for us is a matter of pride.”

“They’re strong in all departments and more work will have to be done. We’ll try to give them a hard time. We’ve often succeeded at home.”

“You have to have maximum focus in both phases because there are only three games left and we are still there.”

On Mourinho he said, “He’s a winner because what he did is great and he continues to prove it in difficult places.”

“I will gladly greet him and thanked him for the nice words spent on the outward journey. I also congratulate him and good luck on the final.”
