Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Italiano spoke with anticipation minutes before kick-off to Fiorentina-Roma at the Artemio Franchi in Florence.

In his pre-match interview with DAZN, Italiano discussed the challenge of facing a well organized side like Roma and Daniele De Rossi’s start to his coaching career in the capital.

“Our Champions League race? This is an important moment because we are facing high-level teams who are ahead of us and who are doing well. We want to hang on to the top positions in the table.”

“Today we have the chance to do well at home, we are coming off a victory in the Conference League and I hope that this enthusiasm can give us an extra boost.”

“De Rossi? Congratulations to him, it’s never easy but he has the advantage of knowing the environment and the place. People love him.”

“Taking advantage of this opportunity is important for him. I give him huge compliments but I hope to make him struggle tonight. May the best man win.”
