Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Italiano spoke to his side’s official channels ahead of tomorrow’s match with Roma.
In his pre-match interview, the Viola coach said, “It is an important game for both teams. We’re both near the top positions in the league table and want to do well. We’re two high-quality teams.”
“We are coming off some good results and some excellent performances, so we will have to try to have that continuity that we often lack. We will try to give that mental leap that can give us so much in the standings.”
“I’m sure that whoever steps on the field will do everything they can to put this Roma to the test,” he added.
“Nicolas Gonzalez is expected to recover. He will be called up but we are yet to see whether he can play tomorrow,” Italiano said of his Argentine forward.
“The Olimpico is a stadium that sings from the first to the last minute, giving a big boost to its team. On our part, we need great personality and a fighting spirit to do well in such a hostile environment. We need to put Roma in difficulty where we can. We know their strengths, we also know what we have to do when we have the ball. The important thing is to play well, because only in this way can you come out with a positive result from such a stadium and against such a strong team.”
