Fiorentina are no longer interested in a swap deal involving Jonathan Ikone and Roma striker Andrea Belotti.

In recent days, the two clubs had engaged in negotiations for an exchange of the two aforementioned players: the Viola had prioritized the acquisition of an additional striker, whereas Roma are looking for another winger to add to Daniele De Rossi’s squad.

However, as announced by Fiorentina director Joe Barone himself, nothing will come of this deal as Ikone is set to remain in Florence.

“We want to clarify that Ikonè will not go to Roma,” Barone told Viola TV. “He is not for sale and therefore is not on the market. He will stay with us.”
