Like Roma, Fiorentina are eager to revolutionise their squad this summer after recently appointing a new manager.
La Viola want to hand new first team boss Gennaro Gattuso desperately needed reinforcements that fit within his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation, particularly in attack.
In addition, the Tuscans want to remove some of the goalscoring burden off the shoulders of starlet Dušan Vlahović.
One of the options that Fiorentina executive Joe Barone has his eyes and is considering a move for is Roma’s Cengiz Ünder.
According to Sky Sport, Gattuso has informed the club that he will require at least three wide players this summer, preferably ones that are comfortable playing as an inverted winger.
Ünder, who’s currently on national team duty with Turkey, is likely to depart the Italian capital for the second consecutive summer. He spent last season on loan with Leicester City, where he ammassed two goals and three assists in 19 total appearances.
The Foxes, however, decided against making the Turk’s loan move a permanent one and opted not to exercise an option to buy clause.
