Fiorentina’s Albert Gudmundsson to miss Roma showdown due to injury

Fiorentina have been dealt a tough blow only a few days prior their match against Roma.

Raffaele Palladino will have to do without Gudmundsson for the match against Roma on Sunday evening.

The attacker suffered an injury to the biceps femoris of his right thigh.

The official statement from the Viola club confirmed the injury, “ACF Fiorentina announces that, this morning, the player Albert Gudmundsson underwent radiological tests to assess the extent of the injury that occurred during the match against Lecce on Sunday 20 October.”

“The diagnostic tests carried out revealed a grade I/II lesion affecting the myotendinous junction of the biceps femoris of his right thigh. The player has already begun the therapeutic process established by the Viola medical staff.”
