Fiorentina attacker Nicolas Gonzalez could be on the move this summer with Roma as a potential destination.

The Argentine forward is being linked with the Giallorossi in light of his recent falling out with the Viola’s fanbase.

Gonzalez’s underwhelming performance in the Conference League final saw him at the receiving end of much criticism from Fiorentina supporters.

His season of ups and downs, marked by 16 goals and 5 assists in 44 games across all competitions, was enough to put his future in jeopardy as Fiorentina seem reluctant to continue relying on him.

The latest edition of Corriere dello Sport suggests that Gonzalez may be tempted to explore other options in Serie A this coming summer.

As a result, Roma could come forward as potential suitors.

The newspaper claims Gonzalez is a player Daniele De Rossi likes very much and considers ideal for the way he intends for Roma to play starting from next season onwards.

The Argentine winger has similar qualities to Stephan El Shaarawy and could be signed as an alternative to Il Faraone.

So far there have been no talks with either Fiorentina nor Gonzalez’s entourage but Roma remain vigilant and ready to satisfy De Rossi’s requests.
