Roma’s turbulent start to the season may compromise the position of Florent Ghisolfi.
After the dismissal of Ivan Juric and with the choice of a new coach still pending, now even the position of sporting director Florent Ghisolfi seems to be in question.
Having arrived in June after a long selection process, Ghisolfi was pushed aside by former CEO Lina Souloukou.
After Souloukou’s departure, he has remained the only operational executive in an increasingly complex environment, but his impact so far does not seem to have completely convinced the owners.
The Friedkins, who are evaluating new candidates for the managerial vacancy, are also reflecting on Ghisolfi and his permanence in the Giallorossi team, a role that appears less stable despite the few months since his arrival.
The choice of the new CEO, writes Il Tempo, could lead to a different management structure, in which the French sporting director may not find a place after all.
Despite this, Ghisolfi was also in Trigoria yesterday, without a team, and in constant contact with Dan and Ryan Friedkin for evaluations of the new coach.
The sporting director has called for patience and calm, but the fans remain waiting and worried, hoping that the club can finally find a stable and clear direction for the future of Roma.
