Florenzi could be used in swap to bring Szczesny back to Roma

Wojciech Szczesny is being linked with a sensational return to Roma as Juventus look to close in on out-of-contract goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Tuttosport reports that the Bianconeri must rid themselves of the Polish international in order to make room for the former Milan man.

To accomplish this, Juve are, reportedly, eyeing a potential swap deal with Roma and fullback Alessandro Florenzi.

The Giallorossi are eager to acquire a reliable goalkeeper this summer and would be interested in bringing Szczesny back to the Italian capital, where he spent two seasons on loan.

Meanwhile, Florenzi would go in the other direction and join Juve ― permanently bidding farewell to his boyhood club. The 30 year-old has spent the past eighteen months on loan between Valencia and PSG after losing his place under former manager Paulo Fonseca.

Many thought that the impending arrival of José Mourinho could breathe new life into Florenzi’s tenure in Rome. However, it’s becoming increasingly likely that he will seek a permanent solution this summer while the Giallorossi are hoping to cash-in on him.
