Florenzi set for Roma return, PSG decline to make loan permanent

Former captain Alessandro Florenzi is returning to the Italian capital following his season long loan spell at PSG.

Tuttomercatoweb reports today that the French giants will not activate the option to buy clause that was inserted into Florenzi’s loan deal when he joined last summer.

Reportedly, PSG want an upgrade at right back and have already initiated contact for Inter’s Achraf Hakimi. Due to financial difficulties, the Nerazzurri may be forced to sacrifice the former Dortmund man, who joined the club only one year ago.

As for Florenzi, it remains to be seen if he can re-establish his place in the Italian capital under incoming manager José Mourinho.
