Florenzi: “The Europa League is an important competition. It’s not like the Champions League but we will honor it starting tomorrow”.

Roma right back Alessandro Florenzi was interviewed by Sky Sport ahead of tomorrow’s Europa League opener against Istanbul Basaksehir in Rome.

“The Europa League represents an important competition, it’s not like the Champions League, but we will honor it starting tomorrow. I’m convinced all of our intentions are coming together: we’re not worried about who scores or grabs the assist,” said Roma’s captain.

“Roma is at the center of all our work. We are trying to improve the defence, which doesn’t just mean conceding less goals, but also doing better with our pressing. A good attack without a good defence is useless”.
