Fonseca after being dismantled by Napoli: “We had no aggression and no courage.”

Roma manager Paulo Fonseca appeared on Sky Sport after his side were embarrassed this evening at the hands of Napoli by a score line of 4-0.

The Giallorossi were throughly dismantled by Gattuso’s men as Fonseca’s record against the big clubs in Serie A continues to worsen.

”We had little courage tonight, Napoli deserved it. We didn’t do anything to deserve anything different,” Fonseca stated.

“Our record against the big sides? We weren’t the best team in the world before this match and we’re not the worst one now. Every match is a test for this team, not just when we’re playing against big teams”

”We didn’t play a good game today, we lacked aggression and courage. When this is the case, we must accept it and correct what we have not done well.”

“I don’t want to look for excuses. We didn’t play well, we didn’t have aggression and we didn’t close the space between the lines. We couldn’t even string three passes in a row together.”
