Roma manager Paulo Fonseca spoke to DAZN after the Giallorossi lost the lead three times to draw with Genoa 3-3 in their first match of the season.
You said, “I want a team to dominate the game,” but the result has not arrived. What do you take away from this?
We started very well, especially the first 15 minutes. The problem was not in attack, but in the defensive phase. In the first half, the team dominated, but the problem was finding balance. When a team scores three goals, it is difficult to win.
How is this defensive balance found?
We must analyse the performance and try to improve in the defensive phase. We created many chances: we’ll try to prepare for the Derby in the best way possible.
