Roma manager Paulo Fonseca appeared on Sky Sport after his side defeated Torino by a score of 3-2 this evening. Here’s what the Portuguese boss had to say:
Seven consecutive positive results. Is your team in the right shape at the right time given that the clash against Sevilla is upcoming?
We are certainly in a good period, even today we created many opportunities. I think the team is doing well. Now we have the match against Juventus, but we must start thinking about Sevilla.
Did the Cristante-Diawara duo convince you?
Yes, I liked Cristante’s performance. We also have other options to replace Veretout, but I liked Bryan’s performance tonight.
Why not change the formation sooner?
We used this formation before earlier in the season. I have to say that I like the other system more, but this team is playing well.
To say that it was an excellent season, what will Roma have to accomplish in the Europa League?
Everyone says that we must win the cup — all of our supporters have this desire just like us. However, we can’t think that it’s going to be easy. We’ll be facing a team in Sevilla that has won the competition several times. Let’s worry about Sevilla first and then see what happens.
