Roma manager Paulo Fonseca spoke today ahead of his side’s league fixture tomorrow against Genoa.
The Giallorossi will be without striker Edin Dzeko, who revealed yesterday that he tested positive for COVID-19.
“We all know how important Dzeko is to the team. He’s in great form right now, but unfortunately he can’t play tomorrow,” Fonseca stated.
“Mayoral will start – the important thing is we keep the same attitude and desire in our attacking play.”
“We are only in November. I don’t look too far ahead. As I’ve always said, the most important match for us is always the next one. And tomorrow we have a very difficult game.”
”Lazio’s COVID testing controversy? I can only discuss what happens here. I don’t want to talk about other clubs,” he concluded.
