Roma manager Paulo Fonseca refused to get drawn into talk for the Scudetto as his side prepares to host Inter tomorrow in the Italian capital.

It will be a massive showdown for both sides, who sit second and third in the league table, but the Portuguese tactician reiterated his stance that the team must take things one match at a time.

“Are we in the hunt for the Scudetto if we win? I’ve always said we need to take things game by game,” he said.

”The only thing we’re focused on is winning tomorrow. Inter have great players, but as a collective they are very strong. The team is confident, though — we have the chance to do well against a great team.”

Fonseca then discussed the team that he may deploy against Inter and revealed that Leonardo Spinazzola, who has been out due to injury since the team’s loss against Atalanta, has recovered and is ready to play.

”Leo is fine and has recovered. He has been training well and will play tomorrow. The midfield? Two of Veretout, Cristante and Villar will play. Pau Lopez will be in goal as Mirante is still dealing with an injury, Fuzato has returned and will be the backup tomorrow.”

”Diawara? He’s fine and training well. His time will come, I’m sure of it. We have a lot of games over these next 2-3 months, so we need everyone.”
