Roma boss Paulo Fonseca spoke today at his pre-match press conference as his side host Lecce tomorrow at the Stadio Olimpico. These are his words:
What worries about tomorrow?
Lecce are a highly motivated team, they are coming off three straight wins and are playing well. They’ve got quality players who like to have the ball, it will be a difficult game.
With so many matches close together, are you thinking of changing things?
We‘ll change 2-3 players for this game, the recovery times are short given the many games we’ve got. We will evaluate the possible changes so we have fresher players.
How do you manage Pellegrini’s moment?
A coach has to think about both options: Lorenzo has to understand what has gone wrong. After that, he has to play for me. It is important for him to feel that he has my trust. At this moment, we don’t help the team by hiding anyone.
Is it the same for Kolarov?
Kolarov will play tomorrow, tomorrow his characteristics are fundamental. He too, like the whole team, has not done well, but has improved a lot. We must focus on what we’ve done well.
