Fonseca following friendly win: “I’m not completely satisfied”.

Paulo Fonseca held a press conference following Roma’s 3-1 friendly victory over Perugia. These are his words:

Zaniolo?
He can play in two or three roles, I am sorry for Pastore – he was expected to play today, so Nicolo had to play extra in the place of Ünder. He can play as a number 10 but also on the wing.

Despite the transfer market rumors, what have you seen from Dzeko?
Edin is here with us, he is one of our players, I can say he is an extraordinary professional, he has worked very hard and very well, I haven’t seen a single sign that he has his head elsewhere. He’s been here both in mind and body.

Are you satisfied with the team’s level?
Obviously I am not completely satisfied, but we are at the beginning of a journey, there are things that are obviously working well but must be improved. Today we saw a very aggressive attitude from the team – we pressed well, but we must do better to manage possession, we recovered the ball well but we also lost it too much. In the second half, I saw a team more in line with my ideas, a team that knew how to do good in possession, we are working hard, but there is still time.

With a new central defender and striker, will the roster be set?
Certainly we are still missing a central defender, but for the attack we currently have Dzeko and Schick, a defender is the priority.
