Fonseca: “Juve? The players haven’t recovered from the game against Genoa but we’ve trained strategically for this match”.

John Solano

Roma boss Paulo Fonseca appeared on Roma TV to briefly discuss tomorrow’s Coppa Italia clash in Turin against Juventus. Here’s what he had to say ahead of the match:

There’s very little time between the league match and this Coppa Italia one.
We did a very short workout. The players have not recovered from the game against Genoa but we trained strategically for this game. The players are motivated and confident. Let’s see what happens tomorrow — we’re playing against a great team.

Has anyone recovered?
Only Fazio. Perotti is not ready, Pastore and Mkhitaryan neither. We hope that we can have Perotti against Lazio.

Could this be the first time (to win) at the Juventus Stadium?
Tomorrow it is important to play with ambition, a desire to win and confidence to change this trend in recent years. Juventus are a great team but I think we had a good game against them and we can think of winning.

Could it be an important chance for Kalinić?
He had a great match against Parma and I am very confident in him. I’m sure he’ll have a good game tomorrow.
