Fonseca pleased after friendly victory

Paulo Fonseca to Roma TV following the Giallorossi’s friendly victory over Tor Sapienza:

Your immediate reaction?
I’ve got positive feelings, it was important to implement what we’ve learned in recent days. Although the difficulty was not high, the players put into practice what we worked on. We saw our ideas and the collective intentions from the team and I am satisfied. Obviously there is still a lot to improve. We gave 45 minutes to all the players, some played out of their usual roles but the response was positive and I am satisfied.

A judgement of the first 10 days of the ritiro?
Very positive. The players have applied themselves very well, they have worked hard and gave their best. It is clear that there are many things to improve, it is a complex way to play but we’ve had the chance to already see what we’re looking for. Some players are still missing: this week the national team players come back.

Pau Lopez communicated a lot with the team.
For how we play, communication is very important, we want talkative players and we ask for it. There’s certain player who this comes natural for and the goalkeeper is one of them.
