Roma boss Paulo Fonseca praised his side for their 2-1 win this evening over Fiorentina.
The Portuguese tactician was pleased that his team responded just three days after their loss to Milan.
“It was a difficult match, but we did well today. We especially had a strong second half,” he noted to Sky Sport.
“It was very important for us to win today. We lost to Milan but the team reacted well this evening. It was important for us to learn from our mistakes and the team showed great spirit today.”
“It’s true that we’ve gotten it wrong against the big teams. We always seem to lack something, we have to work to improve in these games.”
Fonseca also discussed midfielder Amadou Diawara, who scored the winning goal.
“Diawara was our for a long time and then he came back but Villar was playing well. He did very well tonight, even if you don’t take the goal into account. I’m very satisfied with Diawara.”
