Fonseca ready to hand Calafiori important role as Kolarov nears exit

Aleksandar Kolarov is nearing a transfer to Inter, but the Giallorossi appear to already have his replacement in the roster.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Roma boss Paulo Fonseca, who will welcome his team back today for preseason training, is ready to give highly rated youngster Riccardo Calafiori a chance to replace the outgoing Serbian.

Reportedly, the 18 year-old impressed Fonseca last season in training and he is ready to consider adding the youngster into the first team on a permanent basis.

Calafiori has been the subject of several transfer rumors but his agent, Mino Raiola, visited Trigoria yesterday and an exit doesn’t seem likely.
