Fonseca speaks ahead of Roma-Napoli

Paulo Fonseca spoke today at his pre-match press conference as his side hosts Napoli tomorrow at the Stadio Olimpico.

Are you thinking of putting Mancini back in defence after Fazio’s ban?
We’ll see tomorrow, today I don’t want to talk about the formation.

How much will Ancelotti’s absence be felt tomorrow? What do you think of him?
He is a great manager and has a lot of quality – he’s won big things with great sides. I respect him a lot, he is a very serious and honest man.

The defence has worked well in these last few matches. How are Spinazzola and Juan Jesus?
Both are ready. Spinazzola has a different situation because he‘s played but I decided not to play him against Udinese. Juan Jesus is also ready.

Pastore has been reborn. Can you go on with him given his physical condition?
Yes. The only questions on Pastore are clear: it’s only a question of the physical side. He’s fine and he’s playing well, we don’t have many solutions right now, but he’s fine.

There is a lot of talk about Cetin. Can you give us an idea of this youngster? Could he start?
He’s a good lad, he’s learning every day and could be an option. I don’t know yet, but it‘s possible.

Did you expect to be in a Champions League spot and above Napoli as of today?
For me, it is very important that the team has a positive attitude, it is the most important thing. If the team has an attitude like the one seen in these last two games, we can get closer to the top and the team can fight in every game.
